What DOES It Do?

1 John 1:9 says:

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Peter knew on the Day of Pentecost that he had been forgiven! No matter what you have done in life, Jesus died on the cross and took all your sin upon Himself! You are free to be the man/ woman that God created you to be from the foundation of the world!

Revelation 1:14 says:

....and His eyes were like flames of fire.

When you look into the fiery eyes of Jesus, all the dross that you have inside of you is burnt away and replaced with Holy Fire

Moses was transformed by the fire forever. The Holy Spirit inside of you is sometimes symbolised by fire. On the Day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit fell, the disciples could see tongues of fire over their heads. The noise was so loud that people came from all over Jerusalem to see what was going on and Peter spoke with great authority and power and 3000 people were saved that day and introduced to the transforming power of God. Peter himself was transformed into a world changer when he was anointed by the Holy Spirit!

2 Corinthians 6:6 says:

We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us.

The fire we hold inside proves the authenticity of our faith under trial, just as it did for the apostle Paul, as he endured many hardships.
